Reproductive cloning and therapeutic clong?
March 62010
What is reproductive cloning?
What is meant by therapeutic clong for stem cell therapy?
Reproductive cloning is the process of cloning an individual for the purpose of giving birth.
Therapeutic cloning is the process of cloning a small number of cells in order to produce new stems cells.
In either case, a human embryo is formed. There is no question that the embryo is human — it has all the genetic feature that make it human. That’s the reason it was cloned! It will never become a fish or a lizard or a parrot or a puppy. In therapeutic cloning, the development is stopped in the blasocyte stage — but all the cells are still human!
If you’re referring to the new Australian law, doesn’t it seem odd that their law PREVENTS cloning an individual in order that it might live (reproductive cloning) but ALLOWS an individual to be cloned in order to die (therapeutic cloning)?
Another reason why Australia is the Upside Down Continent.

Human cloning, the church and the government says that no human beings have been cloned for the purpose of reproduction.
As such, we do not know a thing about what the true nature of a human clone would be. However, twin studies and the quantum mechanics of consciousness suggest that as a true human clone matures, they and their genomic donor would become one and the same consciousness, basically the same person.
Therapeutic cloning: Its the same as human reproductive cloning except that the cloned embryo supplies embryonic stem cells for use to care disease, usually in the genomic donor. This is not the taking of a life in order to save a life. A ball of cells about the size of "." is far cry from a human being. After all, a mature human being supplied the somatic cellular DNA to be cloned for medical purposes. Whose DNA is it anyways? The government and the church should have no business in telling people what they can and cannot do with their own DNA. It is funny about these people who oppose human reproductive cloning and therapeutic cloning; when the subject is abortion, the right-wing cry’s, "save the babies." But when it’s human reproductive cloning, their cry becomes … too many people in the world already, over population. They just change their position on the issues when it’s suits their agenda.
