Ask his doctor to prescribe it. That works quicker than bananas.

One banana is equivalent to around 50meq of potassium, and it’s way more healthy (not to mention ridiculously easier and cheaper) to eat a piece of fruit than to get K+ prescribed. A banana a day should be more than enough.
